Been looking at the Google Chromecast and want to hear an honest review? Get ready, you’re going to hear the good, the bad and the ugly. But I’ll tell you this, I do recommend the Chromecast – you’ll love it!
Chromecast Review – The good
The Google Chromecast plugs right into your TV, making your TV the largest interactive device in your house. The Chromecast supports nearly every type of service you’d ever want to use, including Netflix, YouTube, HBO GO, Hulu Plus, Pandoraand loads more! You can even use Google Chrome (my favorite browser) for select content.
Set up takes minutes, literally. You’ll be up and running and streaming to your television with the Chromecast HDMI device in less than 10 minutes for sure.
You can program multiple programs and control things from several different devices, include tablet, laptop, desktop, smartphone etc…
The bad – Google Chromecast
You’ll spend less on this device vs similar devices. You won’t spend hours setting this up and figuring out how to use it. You won’t feel like an old fart who’s let technology pass them by, you’ll actually feel like you’re ‘with it’ when using the Chromecast.
Yea it’s that cheap <– click for price! and super easy to use.
Why are those things bad? Because it leaves more time for things like cleaning the garage, fixing the squeaking hinge on the kitchen cabinet door. With all the extra time you’ve got, we know you can’t wait to get working on your honey-do list! Hop to it!
Google Chromecast is Ugly
Well, no. Actually, it’s not ugly. It’s a little USB type looking thingie that plugs into your TV. You don’t even notice it’s there – it’s sleek and hides well because it’s black and most TVs are black. The Chromecast comes with an HDMI extender, USB power cable, and power adapter. You don’t need a remote control because the Google Chromecast works with your smartphone, tablet, iphone or ipad, Chrome for Mac and Windows.
You can also use Chromecast to ‘project’ your browser onto your tv, very cool stuff. Remember when you used to have to set your laptop next to the TV to do 1/2 of this stuff? Yea, me too – and the S cord (?) — the cord cost more than Chromecast!
Don’t take my word for it…
