It can be hard to find the time or money to join a gym, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get fit and healthy. There are lots of different ways to stay in shape that don’t require a membership. You could try doing body weight exercises at home, going for a run outside, or taking up a new sport. And if you’re looking for something fun and challenging, why not try out the push-up challenge?

Go for a run outside or play a sport

Running is one of the best ways to keep fit, as it helps strengthen your muscles and can burn 200 calories in 15 minutes. Running outside is better for keeping fit than using a treadmill, as you’re more likely to be exposed to fresh air. And if you’re worried about getting cold or wet, it’s easy to buy a waterproof running top and shell pants.

Running for fitness

If you’re going to run outside, make sure your clothes are warm enough-you don’t want to get a chill that could lower your immune system and make you ill. You should also consider taking up a sport or joining a gym if it’s dark when you go out running, as a pair of reflective running pants can make it easier to see obstacles and other people.

If you want to do something fun, why not try your hand at a new sport? There are lots of different sports out there that can help keep you in shape. Try tennis, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton or squash-there are lots of options to choose from. You could also go for a run, either on your own or with a running group.

Bodyweight exercises at home

It doesn’t take long to build up upper body strength or abs from doing simple muscle-ups at home. And if you want to push yourself, try doing as many pull-ups as you can in a row, and hold the position for as long as possible.

If you don’t have any weights or equipment at home, you can always do body weight exercises without ever leaving your living room. Try doing squats to build up your legs and glutes, and sit-ups for your core muscles. There are lots of different body weight exercises you can do, such as pull-ups and pliés. And if you want to build up your upper body strength, why not try doing muscle-ups?

You can also get some Bootcamp ideas from companies offering online fitness training. The fitness routines range from circuit training, boxing, and endurance training, among others.

Try the push-up challenge

If you want to work on your upper body strength, why not try out the push-up challenge? It’s great for building up muscle in your chest, arms, shoulders, and abs. How many push-ups can you do in a row? If you can do 20 or more then that’s impressive-but if not, don’t worry, it doesn’t take long to build up strength. If you struggle to complete 10 reps when starting, try doing your push-ups against a wall so your feet are raised. This will make them slightly easier and help you build up the strength you need.

For even more of a challenge, try lifting one foot in the air when doing your push-ups. This will make them harder, but will also help you tone up your legs. If you want to try another fitness challenge, why not see how long you can hold a handstand? It’s great for building up upper body strength and balance. Try doing some press-ups against a wall or standing on your hands to get started.

Get a fitness coach to help you stay motivated and accountable
