Camera
For me camera is number 1! I love to snap photos of our travels. As you all know, we love to travel as often as we can and sharing photos with family and friends is important to us. Everyone loves to see where we go and where we’ve been.
Recently we returned from a quick trip to Las Vegas where we walked the Vegas Strip, weaved in and out of the air-conditioned resorts and even went on some of the Las Vegas attractions!
We also ventured out to the Grand Canyon and that was AH-MAZING!!
Cooler with Ice, Food, and Drinks
If you’re spending the weekend travelling in your car, pack a cooler with ice, food and drinks! Eating better-for-you food while on road trips isn’t always easy.
Tip: Cut up your veggies, like cucumbers and celery and place them in a plastic air tight container with water. They’ll stay fresh in the cooler for the weekend!
With a fast food joint on every corner, we don’t want to fall off our healthy-kick band wagon! Pack plenty of water and other drinks of choice, protein and fiber rich foods like granola, cereal, celery, apples, and other snacks you might like while road tripping!
MiraLAX®
Oh yes, you know what I’m talking about. Does traveling give you occasional constipation?
Aside from packing fiber rich foods, you may want to pack your MiraLAX® or MiraLAX® Mix-In Pax. It provides effective relief from occasional constipation by working with your body’s natural process. As MiraLAX® works with the body, it provides a gentle experience and doesn’t cause harsh side effects.
MiraLAX® is not like stimulant laxatives which make you go by forcefully stimulating the nerves in your colon. MiraLAX® unblocks your system naturally by working with the water in your body to hydrate, soften, and ease – it’s easy to take, easy on your body. Use as directed!
Follow the instruction on the package and add one of the MiraLAX® Mix-In Pax® to your morning OJ.

Sunglasses
This one always makes me chuckle! I’m the kind of guy who gets the cheap-o sunglasses because, well, I’m a bargain hunter! Eeeeeeh that’s not always a good thing.
While I make sure they have the proper UV labels on them, they don’t always hold up. We’ve been to Las Vegas four times. All four times my sunglasses broke. The heat was too much, and the plastic cracked – every time! Luckily by the fourth time I had learned to bring an extra pair of sunglasses.
Sunscreen
From heat-exhausted sunglasses to sunscreen. It’s important to protect your skin while weekend road tripping! Whether it’s 100 degrees and the sun is blazing hot, or you’re hiking in the cool foothills along a winding stream, sunscreen should be on your must-haves list.
Even overcast skies can be brutal on your skin. Prepare, apply, and reapply as needed while you’re in the sun! You don’t want to look like a lobster when you come home from your weekend road trip to Maine! 😉
Blanket
Even in the summer, pack a blanket! You never know where you’ll find a nice pull-off that you can spread the blanket out on the ground and enjoy a picnic!
A blanket will also keep you warm at night if you decide to do a bit of stargazing while weekend road tripping. Who’s been out stargazing in the middle of nowhere? Perhaps you have a favorite overlook or bluff you like to visit? Bring your favorite blanket and snuggle up!
So tell me, what’s on your must-have weekend road trip packing list?
